QUALITY ASSURANCE

        

QUALITY PLASTICS AND ENGINEERING

 

ALKAZ Plastics is an ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 certified compliant quality plastics and engineering facility. Our processes ensure that our product is delivered on time and with zero defects. Quality is embedded in our culture and starts with the professionalism of our administrative staff, to each operator, and through out the engineering department. ALKAZ Plastics Team truly understands what it takes to manufacturing a quality part not only the first time, but every time.

 

QUALITY CONTROL

 

Each part produced in our facility undergoes a first article inspection. Our quality plastics and engineering team will perform a first article inspection based on our quality checklist and criteria approved by our customers. Together we will define what is acceptable as a quality part and generate a part specification. Parts are checked for dimensional accuracy, functionally, key features, and cosmetic defects. Rejected parts are quarantined, reground, and recycled. Once customer approval is received on the sample parts, the job is scheduled or immediately begins production.

Once the job is in production, in-process inspections are done at predefined intervals. Parts are randomly sampled and inspected to verify they are in compliance with the part specification. Inspection information is stored in our automated enterprise resource planning system. Any part or mold issues are noted and will be addressed during the run and again at the end of the run before the mold is stored. Good parts are shipped and bad parts are reground and recycled.

MEASUREMENT DEVICES

 

Metrology technology plays a key role in the production of components for industries where extremely high levels of precision are required, such as medical, automotive and electronics. As quality requirements have increased, the human eye has become incapable of measuring tolerances with the precision necessary to produce the highest quality parts. At ALKAZ Plastics, manufactured components are inspected by a team of metrology technicians who, using appropriate instrumentation, can ensure that the specifications required for the finished product have been met.

We own our measurement laboratory equipped with:

  • KEYENCE Image Dimension Measurements Performed in Seconds. It drastically reduces the amount of time and effort required for inspection. With conventional methods, measurement time increases in relation to the amount of dimensions taken. With the IM Series, up to 99 dimensions can be measured in seconds.
  • HEXAGON Absolute Arm 7-Axis 3D scanning which delivers tactile probing and laser scanning in a uniquely ergonomic package. It’s the clear choice for high-end portable measurement applications. With usability central to its design, this is an articulating measuring arm that can’t be beaten when it comes to ease of movement and ease of measurement.

It includes injection molding machines with horizontal or vertical injection units. Our manufacturing facility is equipped with modern, numerically controlled injection molding machines with clamping force from 70t to 8100tons. It includes injection molding machines with  horizontal, vertical and 2K machines units with a shot weight ranging from 1g up to 8100g.

REAL-TIME SYSTEM OF PRODUCTION PLANNING

 

Professional customer service, flexibility, punctuality and quality – for us this is the base of the successful implementation of the project. Modernly equipped tool room design office and ensure the feasibility of each project, both standard and non-standard. We make plastic products for virtually every purpose and almost any degree of complexity. We work 24 hours a day, 5 days a week in three shifts. An essential part of any process taking place in ALKAZ Plastics and every product produced here is quality controlled according to ISO 9001: 2015 and IATF 16949.  Our factory is adapted to both the production of small batches of parts, as well as for the mass production of plastic components.

PERIPHERIAL DEVICES

As required in the production processes we are using  different types of peripheral-type dispensers dye and additives for plastics, mixers, dryers and other guarantee bench obtain the desired final state of the detail, a stable for the entire series. This is a key issue for the continuing high quality of production.

ALKAZ is using dyed  plastics which  are allowed to a number of plastics, including ABS, SAN, ASA, PA, PC, PC / ABS, PA / ABS, PMMA, LCP, TPE, PEBA, LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS and PVC. Materials used for the production may be further supplemented with additives such as glass fibers, minerals, talc, calcium dioxide, raw materials to give special characteristics, such as improved UV stabilization, anti-static, etc. Raw material and these additives are chosen wisely in order to meet the demands faced by the product. Typical requirements include:

  • temperature resistance,
  • resistance to weather conditions
  • light fastness
  • resistance to aggressive external environment
  • high impact strength,
  • flexibility and tightness.

PRODUCTION ON ENTRUSTED MOLDS

 

 

PRODUCTION ON MOLDS ENTRUSTED BY THE CUSTOMER

 

At ALKAZ Plastics injection molding plant, we also produce plastic parts on injection molds provided by our customers. We are happy to cooperate with customers who produce molds themselves in Chinese or other tool shops, and after their transport to Poland, need support in their launch and further mass production. In our plant, we carry out production on entrusted molds and we have extensive experience in this area.

 

All injection molds serviced by ALKAZ Plastics are regularly cleaned and maintained. The professional tool workshop is equipped with modern equipment to maintain molds in the best condition, including:

 

  • ultrasonic mold cleaning machine
  • laser mold cleaning machine
  • dry ice cleaning machine
  • cooling channel cleaning machine

 

The experienced team of the workshop takes care of the efficiency of all these tools and constantly monitors the condition of the injection molds and we respond if necessary. We offer tool servicing and modifications regardless of whether the mold was made by us or by another tool shop, in Poland or abroad. We know perfectly well that maintaining these precision tools clean and efficient is crucial to the profitability of our customers’ production ventures.
